Dr Harvey Washington

Dr Washington trained in cardiology at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney followed by a Fellowship in Cardiology in London, where he was involved in cardiac arrhythmia research, acute coronary care, echocardiography and investigative procedures.

 

Dr Washington has extensive experience in all aspects of cardiology with particular interests in diagnostic cardiology, cardiac failure, ischaemic heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias and electrocardiography, and valvular heart disease. He has a strong involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with a dedicated commitment to the achievement of excellence in clinical cardiac skills and management.

 

He holds appointments as cardiologist at Royal North Shore Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Dr Dennis Wang

Dr Wang trained at Royal North Shore and Gosford Hospitals. He has strong interests in interventional cardiology, echocardiography including transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echocardiography.

 

He is appointed to Sydney Adventist Hospital and Brisbane Waters Private Hospital.

Dr Jason Sharp

Dr Sharp is a consultant cardiologist with subspecialty interests in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. He is principal of Specialist Cardiology.

 

Dr Sharp trained at the University of Sydney in medicine and surgery. He subsequently completed physicians training specialising in cardiology at Royal North Shore Hospital. He undertook an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.

 

Dr Sharp has particular interests in complex coronary intervention including coronary angiography, angioplasty and stenting as well as Rotablator rotational atherectomy. He has extensive experience in structural heart procedures including atrial septal defect closure, patent foramen ovale closure and left atrial appendage occlusion with the Watchman and Amulet devices. He performs pacemaker interrogation and follow-up including home remote pacemaker monitoring as well as implantation of cardiac loop recorders. He performs cardiac ultrasound including transoesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography.

 

He actively participates in the Open Heart International volunteer outreach program to Myanmar (Burma) helping to train local cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional cardiology techniques. He has held several other roles within hospitals including previous Head of Department of Cardiology at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee and non-executive board member of Sydney Adventist Hospital Ltd.
