Associate Professor Grant Shalaby is a consultant cardiologist with expertise in the use of device therapy in the management of heart failure. He undertook dual training in Cardiology and Intensive Care Medicine and proceeded to train in cardiac device implantation. Grant is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Grant has successfully completed the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) exam and is a certified cardiac device specialist.
Grant also performs diagnostic coronary angiography, transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE).
Grant is involved in medical teaching of doctors and medical students and is an Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame Medical School.
Outside of medicine, Grant enjoys gardening and spending time with his family.
